For rockfall protection, two types of netting are generally used as the following:

• High strength type
  • Composition: one layer of chain link fence and one layer of cable mesh.
  • Material: galvanized steel wires & cables.
• Normal type
  • Composition: hex netting.
  • Material: galvanized steel wire.

Gabion box item 1

• Galvanized wire 2.7 mm thickness.
• Steel mesh eye 80 × 100.
• 1550 box of 2 × 1 × 1.
• 950 boxes 2 × 1 × 0.5.
• With cover and partition every 1 meter.
• Gabion boxes are manufactured according to the ASTM-A975-97.

Gabion box item 2

• Mechanically woven double twisted hexagonal type zinc coated box gabions.
• Wire diameter: 3 mm.
• Hole size: 10 cm × 12 cm.
• The wire must be heavy galvanized 200 gram.
• Side wire must be 3.4 mm.
• Plus durability will be tested by American and British standard.
• Pulling strength 38-50 kgm².
• Stress strength at least 44 kg/m².
• 2 m × 1 m × 1 m -one divider - 11 m²/pc.
• 1.5 m × 1 m × 1 m - 8 m²/pc.

Note: as we normally do not use metal rings to fasten gabion boxes together, we use lacing wires. Gabion box suit contains appropriate amount of lacing wire, thus, there is no need to buy them separately.
